Beirut was in Denver last night.  If you guys couldn’t make it to the Filmore, don’t worry about it. Check out this video.  Can you feel the excitement in the room?

According to reviewer Larry Fitzmaurice of Pitchfork, the album is rated a 7.7 out of 10.Read more!

The dudes and ladies over at OneThirtyBPM are big fans, giving The Rip Tide a 9.0. Check it.

Stereogum stated that Condon is “able to deliver the calling-card Beirut people want (romantic croon, party-in-the-streets horn swells) while seamlessly mixing in new ingredients that showcase a purer pop feel coupled with a mature sense of restraint, all without sacrificing the fun.” Sounds about right.

Grace Duffy, of Under the Gun Review, has continued the love expressing that “there’s a beautiful depth and sensitivity to all of the tracks on this record, as the songs flow effortlessly into one another to fill your speakers with a nebulous yet memorable grace.”

Take a look at the Dusted review as well in which Daniel Levin Becker examines that “whether you admire his engaged musical tourism or find it suspicious – and for my money, the argument that he’s cheating anybody by doing what he does is an idiotic one – you’d be hard pressed to deny that he’s got a great hook, something worth talking about either way.”
