Salteen lived for the period of two college semesters and managed to squeeze out one seven-inch before dissipating due to graduation. The first release on Ba Da Bing! "Green Light" was the hit song, and proceeded to appear on March Records' Pop American Style compilation. An appreciation for such bands as Bedhead, Codeine and Galaxie 500 can be easily found within. Salteen's only non-campus performance was at The Rhinebeck Hotel, known for Mercury Rev's appearances there and for the low-rent rooms rented to drunk guys upstairs. After finishing their first song, one of the guys from Hopewell yelled out, "Slint!" Yeah, Salteen was influenced by them as well.
