Talk Talk / Mark Hollis LP Defect

Hey there folks,

It has come to our attention that a small group of our customers have received scratched Talk Talk / Mark Hollis records. We are certainly distraught over this as we are not in the business of sending out defective products.

We’ve spoken to Universal, who pressed the records for us. They’ve assured us that they will replace any inadequate copies. Please write us a brief message to shop@badabingrecords.com and we’ll have a new record sent to you once we receive the replacement copies.

Apologies to everyone again for this lil hiccup. I know everyone is eager to have these records in hand and in mint condition.

EDIT (Thursday, November 3): We were given notice that the dust jackets in the packaging may be affecting the record. We urge purchasers to be careful when removing the record from its inner sleeve. Anyone who wants to take extra care of their record could also replace the dust jacket with a softer paper sleeve or plastic sleeve.

It’s not a shock that their might be some defects since most Lp presses are 30 years old or more. What, is there some guy or gal listening to EVERY Lp from beginning to end as they come off the press? It’s tough to live in a digital age and suddenly go listen to wax again. It’s not perfect. But isn’t that the point? Some of my favorite Lps have a little snap crackle pop.

For the record ( pun intended ) my Mark Hollis Lp has no issues. Plays clean and borders on digital.

    Patience my friends.
